It’s lights, camera, action for Ebb & Co and DawsonWard who will support Jon Courtenay’s London performances and UK Tour

LONDON, December 15, 2020 – Two agencies, Ebb & Co Communications and DawsonWard Creative, have been appointed on a retained basis to support this year’s Britain’s Got Talent Winner, Jon Courtenay with his London shows and debut tour of the UK in 2021.

Ebb & Co will support with PR and social media strategy, planning and content and Southbourne based DawsonWard will support with the creative development of Jon’s London shows and national tour content. Both agencies are new and were launched in the last six months.

Comedy pianist Jon Courtenay won the heart of the nation and made Britain’s Got Talent history back in October when he became the first Golden Buzzer act to win the ITV show.

After being crowned the champion of series 14, Jon walked away with a £250,000 prize plus a coveted place on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance, which aired on ITV last week.
Speaking about the appointment, Jon Courtenay, singer, songwriter and pianist said: “I am delighted to have both Ebb & Co and DawsonWard on board and supporting me as I take to the stage and begin my UK tour next year.
“Natalie Dawson and Jason Ward bring strong knowledge and experience in delivering high quality live entertainment shows and Rachel Lloyd’s results driven approach to PR and social media will be vital as I continue to build on this year’s success. Having a great team in place will ensure that we have the best possible show, that people will come and watch and thoroughly enjoy.”

Prior to setting up their agencies both Rachel Lloyd and Jason Ward worked at cruise giant Carnival. Rachel Lloyd held the role of Global Director of PR and Social Media at Carnival-owned luxury cruise line Cunard. Jason Ward headed up Entertainment Development across both Cunard and another Carnival-owned cruise brand, P&O.

The other half of DawsonWard, Natalie Dawson has previously worked as Creative Director for a leading international production company with clients that included TUI and Bourne Leisure.

Commenting, Rachel Lloyd said: “With the live entertainment sector set to make a welcomed comeback next year, this is the perfect time for Ebb & Co to provide some strategic PR and social media support, in addition to some mid-to-long-term planning. Jon’s upcoming performances and engagements for the remainder of 2020 include The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal Christmas Concert on the 28th December, which, for the first time in 25-years, will be held virtually.
