October Gossip gatherer

Our nationwide search for tittle-tattle takes in many ports of call this month. Our mystery gossip-gatherer has come up with some tasty morsels of meaningless mulch, from the lives of UK Cabaret subscribers. Read on….

We start in Sheffield, where one of the big cheeses within the Peller Artistes agency Paul Beardow is becoming widely acclaimed as a novelist. His fictitious sleuth Harry Macadam had recently had a second volume of adventures published and our agent/scribe is cock-a-hoop!

To Merseyside now where the gorgeous singer Samantha Lomax is now presenting a new tribute show, as Paloma Faith. Spotted recently at the Curtains Up showcase in Southend on Sea, it seems that Ms Lomax had many ardent male admirers. What is a girl to do?

To Essex now, where agent Maria Johnson is now involved in a new company called GRT entertainments. Out and about and looking ravishing, the lovely Maria was on the arm of lucky husband, the singer Stevie Jay Johnson. Maria was stressing slightly on this particular evening, as this was the first time leaving her new baby under the care of her highly qualified children’s nanny. All was well of course, but like Cinderella, Maria felt the need to be back home by midnight.

Back to Yorkshire now, where there is a new girl in the office at Flair Entertainments. The very lovely Kendra Larter seems like a very fast learner. She was seen out and about at a showcase event, alongside glamorous agent Rachel Hainsworth and her quite ravishing and ravish-able friend, the singer Courtney Gill. This bevvy of lovelies was attracting much male attention, whilst dancing to the Ibiza style DJ’s, from the Show Me Love show.

To the Canary Island of Tenerife now. It’s been quite a while since entertainer Mike Carlton returned to the UK, after years of working as resident Compere at the St Eugen cabaret club in the Costa Adeje area of Tenerife. The Tenerife Entertainment Awards are held this month and Mike was massively shocked to discover that he is the winner of the Best Compere award, even though he doesn’t live or work there anymore. Bizarre!

To Benidorm now, where comedian Tim Ames shone on a showcase of acts held in the resort recently. Our reviewer Vicci Lucas was in the audience and she writes about the show in her regular Vicci’s View column. Tim clearly fancies doing some work in the sunshine and it just has to be better than schlepping up and down freezing motorways in this country.

And finally for this month, entertainer Sunny Daye is to head all the way to Bulgaria to start a new life as a mobile dog groomer. Ms Daye’s Facebook posts show that she has been sorting things out to make the massive move from Worksop to Bulgaria. I bet that the amazing Ms Daye will continue performing for the Black Sea tourists too, which can’t be bad. !

We’ll be back next month for more hot and not so hot gossip from the lives of readers of this very fine publication. The mystery gossip gatherer may be watching you??
