After being asked by Mark Ritchie to give my view on entertainment in and around Blackpool, I decided to visit the fantastic Sands Venue to see the Legends Show on the alternate week that Mark recently reviewed. The incomparable “Tom Bright” with his legendary brand of humor plays a key figure in hosting this show and “Hamilton Browne” as Lionel Ritchie performed everyone’s favourite classics capturing the true spirit of this legend while the mellifluous voice of the very talented “Leanne Fury” as Lady Gaga is easily recognizable, replicating the pop powerhouse herself. “Elly Jarmains” superb vocal and her resplendent presentation as Cher is stunningly eye-catching, likewise, Freddie Mercury, performed by one of the most charismatic tributes on the circuit “Dean Richardson” takes you back to the Majestic era of Queen. The fantastic Wendy Hollands Dancers enhance the show with their brilliant choreography while The Legends Band musical accompaniment adds that extra sparkle to an already awesome production.

The two day Blackpool Jazz “N” Blues Festival 2015 recently held at the Winter Gardens in the Empress Ballroom was such a pleasure to attend and all participating artistes and musicians kindly offered their time and talents to support this festival free of charge to help raise funds for the Trinity Hospice. There has not been a Jazz Festival in Blackpool since 1992 but Blackpool Born, Artistic Director – Stephen Pierre organised, sponsored and brought back to the town, this wonderful event with a great host of accomplished Musicians.

Their motto is simple “Keep Music Live” because musicians “Duet Better”
