It is now 2025 and we have just engineered a huge expansion in our coverage of light entertainment. We have also been canvassing the opinions of our readers through a readership survey. With a few teething problems within the May edition now overcome, our A4 sized digital edition is hitting new heights, with most readers apparently approving what they now see. Managing Editor Mark Ritchie welcome readers back to THE National Monthly publication for Light Entertainment performers suppliers and agents.

I had the big idea to put the whole thing on the road back in 2014, along with collaborators John and Karen Mycroft and our long-serving online manager Martin Brown. Business developments determined that John and Karen would be unable to continue for us and Adam Press came in as design manager sometime later.
Our website manager Martin Brown has been there from the very beginning and he is now busy creating uniformity between the newly relaunched ALL NEW UK Cabaret magazine and our high-traffic web-site. Martin somehow manages to balance his work for UK Cabaret with other projects and he is very much a man in demand.
My intention was to cover the ground which, to some extent, The Stage newspaper used to cover. We have encountered our fair share of ups and down’s to be honest. Some people, for whatever reason, do not choose to support us. Like any company involved in publishing these days, we find things tough and would love more subscribers. Hopefully more people will choose to make the modest purchase/business expense of £32 and support us by taking out an annual subscription. Subscribers also receive a place in our business directory and hyperlinks to showreels and web-sites are included at no extra cost.
Our design manager has an enthusiasm for this project, which is only matched by his skill as a designer. We have some great regular contributors and all we need is for more people to actually get behind us.
Over the next few months, readers will all see how our work on this great publishing adventure is moving onwards and upwards, in terms of designs and features. Join us? Just e-mail mark.ritchie@ukcabaret.com and we will set everything up.
