Our very own design manager Adam Press has been accepted into the Grand Order of Water Rats and he is cock-a-hoop at this great honour. NEWS FROM MORECAMBE
The historic Winter Gardens venue in Morecambe is set for a boost as the Circle is set to re-open for the first time since the late 1970’s. This will almost double the capacity of the venue, which is popular with touring bands and acts. Marketing this place as a live music venue, it has been reported that a lot of ‘Love and Care’ is being put into the upstairs refurbishment and the new capacity will be around 1600.
BRADFORD LIVE
A former city centre cinema who lay derelict for many years had now re-opened, after a massive refurbishment. The old Odeon Cinema in Bradford stands just yards from the famous Alhambra Theatre and the neglected building had become a real eyesore. After much to-ing and fro-ing with the local council, a London based company has stepped in to run the business. Stars such as comedian Bill Bailey and a touring show featuring stars Bradley Walsh, Brian Conley, Joe Pasquale and Shane Richie, accompanied by a 15-piece orchestra, will appear over the next few weeks.
